'Freakonomics' returns to WBUR airwaves

We've got exciting new additions to the WBUR lineup .

Freakonomics returns to Boston airwaves on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. Host Stephen Dubner explores the hidden side of everything – like why the ticket market is broken, how it can be fixed and why it probably won't be. This weekend's episode will focus on whether or not you should trust private equity to take care of your dog! Dubner will explore what it means for pet owners with big investors buying up local veterinary practices. The show will air exclusively on WBUR in the Boston market, right after Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me! at 10 a.m.

And there's even more on Sunday. Tune in at 1 p.m. for the weekend debut of Radio Boston , also on air weekdays at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The signature local program helps you discover, celebrate and invigorate community – right in your own backyard.

"We all live in Greater Boston, not just on weekdays, but on weekends, too," says host Tiziana Dearing . "The whole team is excited to be bringing our best stories, our most fascinating neighbors and our most critical community issues to listeners on Sundays."
