Think Tank Admission Requirements

Applications are evaluated on a first come, first served basis.

All Applicants must be high school graduates or 19 years or older at the start of the student’s first academic semester.

All applicants must provide a written statement (two to three paragraphs) to the school, outlining their motivation to take the program.

**All Think Tank applicants whose first language is not English must submit the results of one of the following English proficiency tests or provide proof of completion of a secondary school or post-secondary education program in English, in Canada or abroad:

  • Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP-G 2014) is a Canadian English language test for immigration to Canada, Canadian citizenship, and for admission to Canadian universities and colleges. Acceptable level: 6 (for tests taken after April 2014)
  • Equivalent Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB): Score of 6
  • Canadian Academic English Language assessment (CAEL): Overall score of 60
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 75 Internet-based, 210 computer based, or 520 paper based.
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): overall score of 6, with a minimum of 5.5 in each section,

Applicants for the on-campus program only must provide a visual art portfolio of your work that includes drawings or paintings and any relevant 2D or 3D computer work:  up to 5-10 different pieces.  (Please make sure to only send us your best work).  Your portfolio may be sent digitally.  If you have a website or blog link or want to send your portfolio attached to an email as .jpg files, that is acceptable as well.  Please make sure to include the link in your application form.

Admission to programs will be granted on a “first qualified, first served” basis.
If a student fails to meet requirements, neither the institution nor the applicant can waive the requirements.
