WBUR CitySpace announces new fall programming

From NPR Legal Correspondent Nina Totenberg to former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky, CitySpace has events for every type of fan.

WBUR , Boston's NPR news, is proud to announce the new fall season for CitySpace at The Lavine Broadcast Center, a state-of-the-art live event venue for cutting-edge conversations, adventurous art and innovative ideas.

Bringing WBUR's journalism alive on stage, CitySpace conversations feature some of the nation's leading thinkers on timely topics such as the changing media landscape, the state of national politics, climate change and the challenges of American motherhood. Also on the calendar are exciting arts performances, storytelling and the return of popular series like Curated Cuisine with celebrated chefs, Phenomenal Women with guests and professional networking and Remarkable Science .

"There is something for everyone this fall at CitySpace — whether one wants to go behind the news headlines with America's leading journalists, or sit back and be entertained by an up-and-coming performer," says Amy Macdonald , director of CitySpace.

Notable speakers coming to CitySpace include NPR Legal Correspondent Nina Totenberg ; NPR White House Correspondent Asma Khalid ; chef and cookbook author Miyoko Schinner ; New York Times Senior Political Reporter and CNN Analyst Maggie Haberman ; songwriter and NPR's 2022 Tiny Desk Winner Alisa Amador ; tap dancer and choreographer Ayodele Casel ; former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky ; and environmentalist Bill McKibben .

"Event-goers have told us they're anxious to return to powerful performances and conversations, together, in an inviting live event setting," said WBUR Chief Content Officer Victor Hernandez . "We're excited to continue our mission of convening community through memorable programming at CitySpace this fall, driven by a diverse slate of remarkable speakers and performers."

Most CitySpace events will be hybrid, held at 890 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston for in-person audiences, with the ability to stream online from anywhere with Wi-Fi.
